Hi
As I wrote to Manel, the Spanish to English translation on the blogger seems to work well, and I suggest that our new friends/ relations in Spain post their messages in Spanish. In England I am in touch with two of your relations with the surname Martin de Bartolome descended from Mariano's son Charles, Peter my cousin is descended from Mariano's eldest daughter Mary, and in Canada there is a large family descended from Mariano's youngest son George. I hope they will make some posts.
Can anyone in Spain answer my question about whether a son of Meliton was killed in a duel?
If anyone in Spain has questions they would like answering, we have quite a lot of information about Mariano's early life in Spain before 1830, as several of his children documented it. We would of course like to know what you can tell us about their life in Segovia and their time in exile. Does anyone know which house/road they lived in or did they live in the Alcazar? Also in which year did Pedro first become Governor. I presume it was after the French were defeated in 1814/5. As you know Mariano became a very well respected doctor in Sheffield, and Meliton trained as an engineer. Does anyone know to which company, presumably in London, Meliton was attached?
Hope to hear from you, best regards, Stephen

I appreciate your offer of writing the language of each. Undoubtedly all express ourselves better in our mother tongue.
Agradezco tu propuesta de escribir en el idioma de cada uno. Indudablemente todos nos expresamos mucho mejor en nuestra lengua materna…
